CURRICULUM RESOURCES

Decisions about the curriculum of any given classroom are affected by many different points of view. School systems require that teachers provide a daily lesson plan that identifies their strategies for delivering the overall curriculum. The Consortium recognizes the difficulty teachers have in preparing appropriate resources to keep the students interested, engaged, and successful in developing entrepreneurials skills.

A primary resource for developing a course is to review the National Content Standards for Entrepreneurship Education to determine which of the 403 Performance Indicators would best fit the needs of the students and the course. Another source is the Consortium's Standards of Practice that help define the components of an effective entrepreneurship program.

PUBLISHERS - Traditionally we expect to use textbooks and other available materials as the foundation of the course. We have collected information from a number of publishers that are appropriate for a variety of entrepreneurship programs. Check here for a description of available materials and the contact information to learn more. We include text books, AV materials, games, and magazine resources.

CURRIKI.ORG - This uniquely named website is a "wiki" that is seeking all kinds of curriculum resources that can be made available online at no cost to the teachers. We know that teachers have created so many great classroom ideas and hope they will use this site to share your curriculum resources with "the world".

The Consortium is an official partner with Curriki.org....recognizing that we could provide leadership to establish a large group of materials in a new section for "entrepreneurship". As you sign on to the site and register, you will then put entrepreneurship in the search engine to get to over 60 resources for entrepreneurship education activities in your classroom. The site also has categories for other academic subjects and career and technical education.

You are free to download and copy the materials you find online at no cost. You are encouraged to add your own resources in addition. Be careful not to upload any materials that have another organization's copyright. The materials you find online can even be added to if you have ideas.

JUST IMAGINE HOW WE CAN HELP EACH OTHER BY SHARING! THINK ABOUT HOW STUDENTS ALL OVER THE WORLD MAY HAVE A CHANCE TO USE YOUR LEARNING ACTIVITIES.
