The Letter

Please address your letter "Dear Young Entrepreneur".

In the body of the letter share your story as an entrepreneur, identifying significant events that would encourage young entrepreneurs to "do their dream" and create their own opportunity in this great entrepreneurial nation. (If your story is on a website please provide the link for the complete information)

If you have specific advice for the aspiring entrepreneur please share it. This will be great instruction for them as they are involved in entrepreneurship education.

Handle the signature block as you normally would but also add your contact information after your name.

If you have a website be sure that it is included in the letter as students will want to review it as they learn about you and your dream/business.

Process for using the letters:

Your letter along with others received will be reviewed by the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education. Those with compelling stories and encouragement will be among the first to be placed on a website for teachers across the USA, and beyond, to use as they seek to encourage their students to dream and then put legs to their dreams.

Letters will be classified on the website by career field of your business, your state of residence, and other selected demographics. This will allow students and teachers to be specific in their search for letters to young entrepreneurs. Students can see that others have become successful entrepreneurs in their desired career field. They will also see that people in their own geographic area have been able to become successful through their entrepreneurial struggles.

Release for publication:

When you include your name in this letter and add your contact information you are granting permission to the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education to print your letter on a website. We are encouraging teachers to use the letters while encouraging students to explore entrepreneurship as a career, and hopefully we may be able to compile letters into a book as the volume of letters allow. Any profits from any published document will be used exclusively as assistance for entrepreneurship teachers' and students' projects.
