EntrepreneurshipWeek USA - Feb 24 - March 3, 2007

WHAT'S YOUR FOCUS?______________EntrepreneurshipWeekUSA

CELEBRATE EntrepreneurshipWeek USA

  1. Join with entrepreneurship advocates/providers across the USA to celebrate the contributions of entrepreneurs and to advance the discussions regarding what the education system should be doing to prepare students for the entrepreneurial future they will face.

  2. Connect with other entrepreneurship advocates/providers within your state to provide information to the public about services available to assist individuals in becoming successful entrepreneurs. Share your entrepreneurial success stories with administrators, school boards, teachers at all levels, community leaders, and parents.

  3. Organize as a State Leadership Team to ensure that during EntrepreneurshipWeek USA your state has celebrations and publicity opportunities to capitalize on the national buzz about entrepreneurship (Examine the listing of suggested activities on the website for different event ideas). If your state does not have a State Leadership Team listed on the Consortium website contact us for ideas about how to create one.

  4. Join together with other entrepreneurship advocates/providers within the state to link websites so that individuals have access to entrepreneurial services from a single site.

  5. Celebrate the contributions of entrepreneurs in your state and encourage entrepreneurship-friendly economic development and taxation policies.

  6. Jointly publicize the opportunities for entrepreneurs to make contributions to the economy. Your local media is looking for success stories of youth and adults.

  7. Ensure that your entrepreneurship education services are listed in the data base, ENTREPRENEURSHIP EVERYWHERE, on the Consortium website

  8. Stay abreast of the activities being planned by the EntrepreneurshipWeek USA management team from now until The Week. Be sure to review their website and the website of the education-related activities of the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education regularly.

  9. Utilize the logo and branding materials of the EntrepreneurshipWeek USA as you develop the celebrations/activities within your state and community to ensure that the visibility for the week gains momentum. Help all citizens of the USA become more aware of the contributions and opportunities for entrepreneurship within our economy. You have permission to copy and use both EntrepreneurshipWeek USA logos and links from our websites.

  10. Plan to attend the 24th Annual Entrepreneurship Education FORUM in Phoenix, AZ, November 4 - 7, 2006. Meet with over 300 educators involved with entrepreneurship education as a lifelong learning process, and help us plan for a fantastic EntrepreneurshipWeek USA in 2007.
